An Unlikely Duo

I decided to draw Nanami and Chihana, and as you can see, both girls are in their new clothes Supposedly, their partnership began somewhere in between Synchro arc (where Chihana stayed in Standard and had to deal with Nanami) and XYZ arc. So after Chihana beated Nanami, the former decided to look after her Fusion counterpart, kind of as how Shirayuki took care of Honoka. Chihana was also a bit intrigued with her counterpart, even if Shigeru had informed her that she has a possible dimensional counterpart and as what had some Obelisk soldiers told her but she didn't believe what they had uttered unless she has seen the proof.

However, Nanami was a bit cold at first, and had wanted to push Chihana away. But right after a few moments, Nanami had opened up to Chihana, even if the former is fond of mocking the latter. Instead of rebuking her (like she always does), Chihana had simply tolerated Nanami's personality and it was probably her way of being friendly.

Nanami was also mistaken as Chihana's twin, well at least according to Shiroe, and was also a victim of her tastes on fashion (which probably forced Chihana to change outfits <u<)

Chihana decided to continue her quest on the thief who had stolen  her father's deck, and this time, Nanami tagged along. However, Nanami kept on mocking Chihana, even teasing her for dueling skills, but was usually ignored by the latter. As soon as they faced the thief himself, as the girls activated their disks, their aces resonated with each other and the pendants on their necklaces glowed an eerie light. Both girls were transported to XYZ, which made Nanami feel remorse as to what had she done three years ago, and even if her ace was controlling her, she felt that she was also responsible for being weak, and letting herself manipulated by that monster of hers. Chihana made attempts on comforting her but was interrupted as they faced Melina, one of the militants sent by Academia to finish off any XYZ remnant. The three were faced off in a duel, and Nanami had warned Chihana not to XYZ summon, for she might be mistaken as one of the remnants. Nanami had also took the pains of trying to protect Chihana and had minor injuries herself, but her warning was ignored as Chihana did an XYZ summon, considering that she cannot let Nanami suffer everything (and the fact that her pride as a duelist was hurt ). This time, it was Chihana's turn to protect Nanami. The two girls won the duel, but Melina vowed to take them on one by one (she hasn't switched sides yet.) 

Anyway, the point is that the two will be working together xD 

Nanami: I'm tagging along~ Your skills are quite amateur and the fact that your summoning is weak itself~ 
Chihana: I never asked your opinion, anyway.
